You are alone with your sword, the last soldier of the Ming Dynasty standing against the pirates – but your duty won’t be fulfilled until your people’s coasts are safe again. Explore the beautifully painted landscapes of Fuling Island to defeat the 5 pirate bosses, each with their own unique characteristics, experiencing the most intense traditional melee combat. Embrace the challenge of this hardcore action game, rich in historical charm and martial arts depth!
(DLC) A powerful storm shipwrecks Feng Haiping and his companions, Liang Feng and Liang Yu, on their way back home after leaving Fuling Island. Game Features
Fighting against Japanese pirates – The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty is set during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. At that time, rampant Japanese pirates plagued the southeastern coastal regions. General Qi Jiguang was tasked with combating these pirates; after successfully finishing his campaign, he headed north to Jizhou, pacifying internal rebellions in his path and guarding against external barbarians. But as the Qi’s army moved north, the remnants of the defeated Japanese pirates gathered back its forces and conspired with other sea raiders from Fuling Island, readying to make a bloody comeback. As a member of the Qi’s army stationed to guard the coastal regions, specifically tasked with pacifying the seas, you were patrolling the waters when a storm shipwrecked your boat – and you find yourself a castaway on the shores of Ryukyu Island, the only survivor of your unit. With your sword by your side, you walk into the depths of the Island, set on uncovering and dismantling the clandestine plots of the Japanese pirates.
Ink and wash painting world – The game’s art is inspired by traditional Chinese ink and wash paintings. From the humblest blade of grass to the most majestic mountains of Fuling Island, each scene is beautifully painted in ink and wash. Its artistic design also draws inspiration from ancient Chinese paintings’ character styles and proportions, providing players with a captivating visual experience.
Tactical melee with cold weapons – The Last Soldier of the Ming Dynasty will put your reflexes and warrior senses to the test. Its combat system is built upon three basic attack actions: stab, cleave, and sweep, which form the basis of both offense and defense. While executing these moves, it is crucial to discern the enemy’s attacks simultaneously. You can deflect their attacks by accurately anticipating the enemy’s actions. Stay calm in the midst of the storm while you ponder the enemy’s every move, and you will remain undefeated in battle. The game offers a variety of combat styles, ranging from close-quarters melee weapons to long-range bows and arrows. You can either block enemy attacks with your weapons or utilize evading maneuvers and counterattacks. The key to overcoming adversaries lies in swiftly switching between offense and defense, adeptly countering their moves. Only by mastering the art of adaptation and switching styles you will ultimately triumph over your foes.
Historical weaponry and armor – The game offers a variety of weapons and equipment for players to choose from. Each piece of weaponry is meticulously recreated to reflect its origins in real historical contexts. You can also disarm enemies and utilize their weapon skills against them. Through diligent practice, mastering the techniques of your adversaries, and then applying them to your own weaponry, you will become even more formidable in combat.
(DLC) New Mode – Experience the new Roguelike gameplay mode. Players will face new enemies and must conquer three different domains. Each level will be randomly generated and filled with powerful accessories that provide strong buffs when combined to help you overcome harder and harder challenges.
(DLC) New Maps – Explore the mysterious lost kingdom of Yamatai, a land of myth and legends. Its location was lost to time centuries before the time of Feng Haiping – and now fate has brought him to its fabled shores. With five new domain maps, Yamatai offers unique atmospheres and new challenges for you to face.
(DLC) New Bosses – Put your combat skills to the test against five new bosses, mysterious supernatural entities known as yokai – demons, spirits, monsters of legends and folk tales, each of them with unique powers and abilities.
(DLC) New Equipment – Five new sets of armor are available for you… if you manage to defeat their wearers! On top of that, the armor sets of the base game have been revised with new attributes, and their enhanced versions can be purchased in the shop.
(DLC) New Skills – Beat the illusory images of the bosses of The Last Soldier of the Ming Dinasty to unlock new powerful sub-weapon skills.
(DLC) Shop Feature – Use the copper coins that you obtain in the Roguelike mode to purchase new equipment, weapons, and armors in the Shop.

Precautions and recommended settings

Always recommend using magnet links to download games for faster and more stable speeds. Recommend pure, open-source, ad-free download software (such as Gopeed or BitComet).
Before running the game, evaluate the game’s system hardware requirements. If your computer only has 2G of RAM, you basically cannot expect to run large next-gen games smoothly.
Extracting high-compression packages consumes a lot of memory. You must enable virtual memory and manually set it to 1 to 1.5 times the physical memory.
Example: If the computer has 8G RAM, suggest increasing to 12GB – 16GB; if 16G RAM, set to 24GB (both initial and maximum values fill in 24576 MB).
When extracting the game, the hard drive needs 2-3 times the free space of the game installation package. For example, if the package is 10G, the target drive needs at least 20-30G of free space.
The hard disk partition format must be NTFS. The outdated FAT32 format cannot write single files larger than 4GB, which will cause the extraction to freeze.
During game installation, temporarily disable Windows Defender or third-party antivirus software, or add the “game download directory” and “target installation directory” to the antivirus exclusion list.
If the computer has less than 4G RAM, or high-end computers frequently report extraction errors, be sure to check “Limit installer to 2 GB of RAM usage” on the first interface during installation. This slightly limits extraction speed but greatly improves stability and solves 90% of memory overflow errors.
When running setup.exe, always right-click the icon and select “Run as administrator” to ensure the installer has full system read/write permissions.
The absolute path of the game installation cannot contain any Chinese characters, special symbols, or extra spaces.
Correct example: “D:\Games\Steam”
Wrong example: “D:\游戏\赛博朋克 2077”
During the extraction process, the CPU and memory are pushed to the limit. At this time, strictly prohibit playing other large games, background rendering, or opening many browser tabs, otherwise it can easily cause resource contention leading to instant errors (such as Unarc.dll) or even a blue screen.
At the checkbox interface at the end of installation, be sure to check the installation of DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributable (runtime library suite). Many players successfully extract but cannot open the game (popping up 0xc000007b or missing various .dll files) because of missing these basic runtimes.
If the installation completes smoothly but double-clicking the game icon has no response, 99% of the time it is because Windows Defender silently quarantined or deleted the “crack patch” (such as steam_api64.dll) in the game directory right after extraction. Go to the “Protection history” in Windows Security and select “Restore and allow” for that file.
After encountering an Unarc.dll error, never download this DLL file alone from the internet and place it in the system drive. The game compression mechanism uses highly customized dedicated libraries; generic DLLs downloaded online are useless and can easily infect the system.
If you have strictly followed all the above configurations and requirements and still stubbornly get an Unarc.dll error during installation, you basically can only consider reinstalling a pure version of the system.
If it still does not work, then consider installing on another machine.
